Saturday 26th July
Join us for a joyful and imaginative celebration to mark the outcome of our co-design River/ Flow/ Connect workshops and events – a creative reimagining of the classic sports day, designed for adults and children alike.
Tuesday 17th June
Through a facilitated conversation, we will revisit the creative process and discuss the development of key ideas. Artist and designer Sam William will present a series of digital models, using them as a basis to explore considerations of scale, form, use, and materials.
Saturday 7th June
Working in small teams, participants will develop and construct a series of miniature prototypes that reflect ideas for potential public artworks. This session will focus on giving form to emerging concepts in a tangible and experimental way.
Saturday 24th May
This active, hands-on River/ Flow/ Connect session will begin with a walking exploration of potential sites for a new public artwork. Together, we’ll walk, observe and imagine possibilities for creative interventions in public space.
Wednesday 21st May
In this next interactive online session, we’ll dive deeper and explore the themes, functions, materials, and colours that could shape artwork along the River Ouse in Kempston.
Tuesday 13th May
In this interactive online session, we’ll explore public art, using real-world examples from across the globe to understand the many ways it can look, feel and function; including our own local environment along the River Ouse.
