We are here to support and network local creatives to help build a thriving cultural ecology for Bedfordshire.
Below you can find a number of initiatives around support and networking for artists, producers, project managers, and all those working or studying in the creative industries in Bedfordshire.
Producer Hub
The Producer Hub is run by 1DegreeEast, a producer-led arts organisation that helps artists, producers and programmers develop and deliver great creative projects. Through mentoring, advice and practical support, the programme helps people grow their ideas, build skills and create new work.
The Bedford Producer Hub is delivered in partnership with us. Together, we want to support creativity, develop local talent, and help practitioners create projects that are meaningful to Bedford’s communities and audiences.
We recruit a cohort of practitioners who are looking for ongoing support to develop their projects and careers. The programme is free to join and includes in-person meet-ups, regular one-to-one support, networking opportunities and learning sessions. Participants may also be able to access a mini-commission bursary, providing match funding to help bring their projects to life.
The 2026/27 programme starts on 22nd October and applications close on 2nd October.

Cultural Compact for Bedford
Following the launch in October 2025 of Bedford’s new Cultural Vision for 2030, the Bedford Cultural Partnership (BCP) is laying the groundwork for a strategic Cultural Compact that will guide the cultural future and strengthen initiatives across the borough.
A Cultural Compact is a type of network or structure that helps to support and connect creative people across an area to develop arts and culture. BCP are working with creative people and Bedfordians passionate about arts and culture to formulate what a Cultural Compact might look like for Bedford.

Creative Bedfordshire
Creative Bedfordshire is a FREE network for bringing the creative and cultural industries in Bedfordshire together to connect, learn, share and debate.
If you work, study or volunteer in the creative arts or industries in Bedfordshire, you can set up a profile on the Creative Bedfordshire website to get started. You can connect to other creatives, upload your own news and events, find out the latest news from your peers, start forum discussions and receive regular newsletters using the site.
The network is run collaboratively by a consortium of partners called the Bedford Cultural Partnership.
