Sammy Maitland

Chair

Sammy is a socially engaged producer and curator. Having previously worked across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire for 7 years, she is now based in East London and works as a Creative Producer for the Museum of London. In 2022 she completed an MA in Art and Visual Culture at the University of Westminster, where she specialised in feminist theory and queer histories. In 2023, she was part of the Clore Emerging Leaders programme. Sammy is interested in the ways we can make museums, galleries and public art more accessible, particularly for those from working class backgrounds.
