Have you ever walked by the river and thought this space could use something more? A splash of colour, a story, something to spark connection? Well this is your chance to get stuck in!
Led by artist and public art producer Sam Williams, these free Sculpture Tryout sessions are all about imagining how public art could brighten up the stretch between Kempston Mill and Queen’s Bridge. You’ll explore ideas through collage and junk modelling — using everyday materials to make playful sculptural mock-ups, no fancy skills or experience needed. Just bring your ideas, your lived experience and your creativity.
These workshops feed into a series of community co-design events exploring how public art can help local people feel more connected to the river.
