Tuesday 18 June to Saturday 22 June

St. Paul’s Church
St Paul’s Square, Bedford MK40 1SQ

Free | No booking required

Join us this Refugee Week at St. Paul’s Church, where socially engaged artist Bern O’Donoghue will present 2 installations, consisting of hundreds of origami boats each representing a person, from her DeadReckoning project. The project is dedicated to the migrants and refugees who continue to die attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea in search of sanctuary and a better life.

On Wednesday 19 June and Saturday 22 June, from 11:00-15:00, there will be participatory workshops in which participants are encouraged, through the collaborative process and through conversations, to consider not only the experience of migrants and refugees, but also to think about how those of us living more secure lives might engage supportively with refugees.

Workshops are free and there’s no need to book – just drop in! If you have any further questions about the event, get in touch by emailing us at: info@bedfordcreativearts.org.uk or by calling: 01234 818670.
