Are you a creative based in Bedfordshire? Creative Exchange is your chance to meet like-minded people, discover exciting local projects and spark new ideas. This free networking event brings together artists, producers, and creatives from across the region to build connections and strengthen the local creative community. Enjoy short, engaging presentations from creative professionals and take the opportunity to connect over a drink, exchange ideas, and grow your art network.

The Bedford Cultural Partnership has been working with the creative community of Bedford Borough on a new Cultural Vision. Central to this vision is cultural democracy – a process whereby all local people can have a say and a role in the creative life of the Borough.
Bedford Cultural Partnership hopes to create a cultural compact organisation for Bedford to drive this Vision. They will be holding an event in September 2025 (date TBC) for local creatives and community partners to come together to explore how this might take place.
In this Creative Exchange session, Imogen Robertson is invited to share an example of a successful Cultural Compact from Medway, Kent. Creative Medway is a sector and community led organisation. They champion culture and creativity in all its forms and support Medway’s cultural sector. Imogen will explain how they work and the benefits a compact brings to the area.
