Amanda Silk

Amanda is a ceramicist, artist and maker working from her garden studio in Bedfordshire. She graduated from Brighton University with a BA (Hons) in Wood, Metal, Ceramics & Plastics and her practice now predominantly involves ceramics, glass, wood and drawing.

“I have a passion for creating, the making process in in my DNA. I manipulate clay material to reflect our personalities and subtle expressions. My sculptures I often visualise an inner calm, strong survivors our marks and wrinkles tell a story of our life” – Amanda Silk.

As a qualified teacher and creative practitioner Amanda passes on her knowledge, skills and passion for art and design. As well as running workshops, she works with students of all ages and abilities through specialist teaching in schools, colleges, arts organisations and other educational settings.
