Following the success of the mural on Carlisle Road, BCA and residents of Queen’s Park worked with artists Amina Pagliari and Paul Nicholson to redesign the side room of Queen’s Park Community centre. The mural using calming colours and patterns to make the space feel more inviting and also includes a gold leaf to symbolise the direction of the qibla.
The space is used by a variety of community groups in the area and needed a full refresh – and what better way to do it than through a series of workshops with local residents, followed by a Celebration Evening of food, performances and great company!
The Community Centre Mural was designed and painted by Amina Pagliari, in partnership with artist Paul Nicholson, residents of Queen’s Park, BCA staff and our lovely volunteers. Over 60 local children & parents joined us for the Celebration Evening to unveil the finished result.
