Jasmin Lea Diermann Codd 

Artist

Jasmin is a creative, poet, and community worker working at the intersection of theology, social work, and the arts. Her interest is in storytelling as a practice of paying attention, healing, and human connection. Her work holds together creativity, pastoral sensitivity, and relational presence, with a focus on supporting individuals and communities through reflective and trauma-aware engagement.  

She has found herself working in and across many different landscapes: facilitating poetry workshops behind prison walls; accompanying people who have fled conflict and war; listening and creating across many languages; and moving within the worlds and practices of artists and communities who use creativity to make meaning, hold complexity, and tell stories. 

Her project ‘Build home’ is a collaborative exploration of home, belonging and memory through our senses. Across four creative workshops, the meaning of “home” will be explored through seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching and feeling. Through drawing, writing, collage, sound, texture and shared making, participants will collect fragments of memories, places, feelings and imagined homes. Together, these fragments will grow into a sensory installation of home.
