As part of our River/Flow/Connect programme of delivery we are working with riverside communities to understand their relationship with the River Great Ouse and their communities.

This September we are holding a community picnic to talk to people about the river and our longer-term sculptural space vision for the future as part of our programme.

We have commissioned a local artist to design and build a small sculpture to be the focal point of a community/ consultation event for inspiration.

Individuals will be able to talk to the BCA team through creative consultation regarding the river, the impact on the community, the environment and sculpture through a digital and physical survey.

Topics for consideration include:

Environment / Safety / Mindfulness / Preservation / Pollution / Nature and Well-being.

We hope through this consultation that individuals will consider joining our working group on this ambitious project as community leaders, members of our steering group or partners.

This event is supported by BMK Waterways, John Bunyan Community Boat, Ball Corporation and Cllrs Mohammed Nawaz and Caroline White.
