Rachel Heady

Rachel Heady is an enthusiastic creative who has explored many aspects of Art and Design throughout her life. She studied Interior Design in Brighton and London after attending a school that nurtured her passion for crafts and creativity. Following her degree, Rachel worked for over 30 years in the film and TV industry as an Art Director, using her talents as a draughtsman, prop maker, and visual storyteller.

In 2012, she moved to Bedford and took up a course in Stained Glass at the Bedford Arts and Crafts Centre. This marked a turning point in her creative journey, as she discovered a new passion for working with glass. Rachel now experiments with a range of materials and art forms, continually creating original work. Her stained glass pieces reflect her appreciation for colour, texture, and the beauty of traditional techniques, shaped by her design background and love of storytelling.
