Join us at Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre on the 14th of March to hear about an exciting opportunity for anybody that likes to dance or just move, and even better no previous performing experience is required.
In an empty space, a caretaker sweeps away the remnants of a previous event. A woman enters and puts down her handbag. A beat begins, a mirror ball turns and the sound of a classic dance track fills the air……
Geraldine Pilgrim Artistic Director of Geraldine Pilgrim Performance Company is looking for female and male performers (guys don’t need to dance) to take part in Handbag, a performance in Leighton Buzzard Theatre on Friday April 15th. Handbag is a celebratory performance involving lots of people, great music, dancing and handbags made for ballrooms, theatres and unusual spaces. The performance lasts 14 minutes and will be performed 6 times over the course of the evening.
We invite you to come along to an uplifting talk by Geraldine to find out more and to chat to her about the event.

“A witty and wistful performance that, in a few delirious moments, succinctly makes the point that no woman needs a man when she has got her handbag in tow.” Lyn Gardner, The Guardian
