Jenni Thomas


Dr Jenni Thomas has been a trustee at BCA since 2019.

She began her career as a historian in the arts and heritage sector after completing a PhD in Collections History at Queen Mary, University of London. She has published on a range of collections including the Royal Society’s repository, the Natural History Museum’s Bird collection and Walter Rothschild’s Zoological Museum.

While researching her PhD, Jenni completed an internship at the British Museum and went on to work in research development at the Centre for Arts and Humanities Research, Natural History Museum and as a Project Director at the Rothschild Archive.

Jenni went to school in Bedford and returned to work in Bedford to spend more time with her young family. She is now the Business Manager for a local Planning and Development Consultancy.

Jenni remains passionate about the arts and heritage sector. She is an Associate at the Centre for Editing Lives and Letters, UCL and volunteers at The Higgins, Bedford and English Heritage.
