Education

Education

A significant part of what we do here at BCA is to support and implement projects that encourage creative experiences for children and young people within a school setting.

Our long-running operation, The Culture Challenge, which, amongst many other things, provides a directory to match up schools with approved creative providers is our most prominent work. We are also involved with a number of organisations that help drive projects, with the aim to support schools deliver a creative output for their students.

The Culture Challenge

The Culture Challenge encourages schools to engage with the wealth of cultural activity in their local area, urges cultural providers to be ready for young people, and applauds children and young people who want to explore art and culture for themselves

BACE

BACE is a partnership (including Bedford Borough Council, local schools and cultural providers) that is committed to providing creative learning experiences for children and young people in Bedford Borough

BACE Twinning Project

Using the metaphor of ‘twin towns’ this is a collaborative leadership project that bridges the Art and Education sectors for the collective good of Bedford’s children and young people.
